Student mobility for studies

Dear Student!

We are very pleased that you are interested in the possibility of study mobility of the Erasmus+ program! In the post below, we summarize the important information and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office (erasmus@ujs.sk).

What is a student mobility for studies?

During study mobility, you (a student with a current student status) can study in one of the party institutions of J. Selye University for a minimum of one and a maximum of two semesters. Since the maximum participation for Erasmus+ mobilities is 12 months during one study cycle (Bc., Mgr., PhD.), you can even complete the two semesters consecutively (not a condition). It is important that when choosing the host institution, you choose a university that has the study program and training you are studying. During your mobility, you can have your subjects completed at the host university accepted at J. Selye University, based on prior consultation (head of department, faculty coordinator). You can find the list of our university’s partner institutions under the link below. After selecting the institution, you need to submit your application. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the application can only be submitted during the active application period. You can find the current calls for tenders under the link below. You can read about the application and the further process of mobility below. If you would like to know more about academic mobility, please visit the following link

As mentioned above, you can only apply during the active application period. You can find the current calls for tenders under the link below. There is a link to the online application system in the text of the call for tenders. We have prepared a short guide for you to fill out the application, which you can find under the link below.

Application conditions:
• Active student legal relationship at my J. Selye University (the legal relationship must remain intact during the mobility period)
• Free months (in the case of Erasmus+ mobilities, the maximum participation is 12 months during a study cycle (Bc., Mgr., PhD.)
• Completing the application form correctly, uploading mandatory documents (you can find more information in the filling guide at the link below)
After completing and sending the application material, at the end of the application period, after the meeting of the Faculty and University Erasmus+ Committee, you will receive a notification about the evaluation of the application material and the further actions to be taken.

First of all, please allow us to congratulate you! If you have received the notification from the office staff that your application has received a positive evaluation, the administrative process can begin. The staff of the office will keep you informed of every step, so please check your university e-mail account regularly.

Documents required to start mobility:

  1. Learning Agreement for Studies– an online document that contains the subjects you wish to take at the host institution, as well as the subjects you wish to have accepted at J. Selye University after completing the mobility. You can find instructions for filling it in at the link below. After filling out the document, all concerned persons will receive it by e-mail. The document is considered complete if all three parties (you, the coordinator of the sending university, the coordinator of the receiving university) have signed it. After logging in, the system will inform you of the status of the signatures.

⇒ It is important that during their mobility, the minimum number of credits they must complete at the host university is 20 credits. It is recommended to take 22-25 credits of subjects so that even in the event of dropping out, you have the mandatory 20 credits.

  1. OLS (Online Language Support)– By completing the level assessment of the online language support, the participants of the Erasmus+ program and the European Solidarity Corps can assess how well they know the language they will use during their studies, work and volunteer activities abroad. You can find instructions for completing the language test under the link below. System link: https://academy.europa.eu/local/euacademy/pages/course/community-overview.php?title=learn-a-new-language
  2. Letter of invitation from the host institution – After the evaluation of the application material, the staff of the office will announce your intention to travel to the host university. After confirmation of your acceptance, the university of your choice will send you an invitation letter containing the planned period of mobility.
  3. Erapo insurance – For students (and other persons) traveling abroad within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the so-called Erapo insurance. You can find instructions for filling out the insurance under the link below. If you have a problem filling it out, please report the problem to erasmus@ujs.sk. You must take out the insurance for the actual duration of the mobility and if you are not sure of the date, please wait until the support contract is concluded, it will contain the exact date.

If the above-mentioned documents have been successfully completed, the support contract can be signed. You sign the mentioned contract at the Foreign Relations office (Elektrárenská 2, 945 01 Komárno). To conclude the contract, please bring the above-mentioned documents, your identity card and the student’s ISIC card.

It is important that mobility cannot be realized without the conclusion of a support contract. The conclusion of the contract must be carried out before the start of the mobility, it is recommended 2-3 weeks before the start.

The following section may be interesting for those students who have already signed the support contract for academic mobility in the Foreign Relations office and started their mobility. If you have not done so yet, please visit the link below. In most cases, the subjects chosen before mobility are modified. The change can happen for several reasons (the object did not start, improper pairing, collision, etc.). You, as a student, are obliged to notify the designated staff members (coordinators) of both the receiving and the sending institution about the change of subject. The change must also be recorded in the OLA system, for which you can find instructions under the link below. The existing Learning Agreement must be edited in the system (Apply Changes) and not a new one created.

In the case of study mobilities, the most common problem is subject modification. If you have any additional problems during your mobility, please contact us at erasmus@ujs.sk.

Congratulation!

If you have visited this page, you have probably finished your exams and would like to be informed about the next steps! You will need 5 documents to complete the mobility:

  1. OLA – Online Learning Agreement– the version containing subjects and signatures changed before or during mobility. The document can be downloaded and printed via the system, please make at least 2 hard copies.
  2. Certificate of Attendance– the certificate is issued by the coordinator of the host university. The certificate can only be issued after passing the last exam, because the day of the last exam will be the last day of mobility. If the host university requests a form from you for this purpose, please download the document from the link below.
  1. Transcript of  Record – the certificate is issued by the coordinator of the host university. It should include the subjects you passed and failed, the assessment and the number of credits.

4. EuSurvey questionnaire – the questionnaire will be sent to your university e-mail account using an automatic system. You will receive the email with the subject “Erasmus+ Participant Survey”. Please be kind enough to provide accurate, real data and statements in the questionnaire. You do not need to print the entire questionnaire, printing and submitting the first page is sufficient to complete mobility. If you do not receive the mentioned questionnaire within 4 days after the end of your mobility, please report the problem to erasmus@ujs.sk.

  1. Experience report – 1-2 pages of narrative with pictures. Please print 1 copy of the document or send it to erasmus@ujs.sk in Word format with the subject “Experience report”. The narratives will be uploaded under the link below, so please draft your narrative with this in mind.

If you have the above-mentioned documents at your disposal, please contact erasmus@ujs.sk in order to conclude study mobility and make an appointment.
