Experience report from Corvinus University

Thanks to the Erasmus Program, I had the opportunity to participate in an incredible adventure at Budapest Corvinus University. This period was one of the most memorable and vibrant times of my life, filled with a plethora of experiences. In the following paragraphs, I would like to share my impressions, focusing on the city, cultural events, and university life.

One of the prominent landmarks I visited in the city was the Castle. Walking through the Castle District felt like traveling back in time. The exhibitions and museums found there were truly awe-inspiring. The Hungarian National Gallery, for instance, showcased breathtaking artworks that delved into the roots of Hungarian history. Additionally, I explored a portion of the Buda Castle Palace, which provided stunning views of the Danube River and the city.

The theatrical scene was also a captivating experience for me. Budapest is renowned for its rich and diverse theater offerings. I had the pleasure of attending numerous performances and plays in the city. One of the highlights was my visit to the Hungarian National Theater. The productions presented there were of exceptional quality, and I immersed myself in the world of arts during the performances. Furthermore, I not only attended theater shows as a spectator but also had the opportunity to perform at a local theater. Corvinus University organized a cultural event where I could take the stage. This opportunity brought me immense joy and created unforgettable moments. I felt a bit nervous before the performance, but the positive feedback and the enthusiasm of the audience outweighed any concerns I had.

University life at Corvinus was also enriching and fascinating. One memorable event was my participation in the Chinese Culture Day. This exciting event allowed me to familiarize myself with Chinese traditions and try on various traditional garments. The program offered a diverse range of activities, including calligraphy writing and traditional Chinese dance performances.

During my time at Corvinus University, I also took part in numerous academic programs. These programs included lectures, workshops, and conferences. The university offered a diverse and exciting array of courses that helped expand my knowledge and exposed me to other cultures. Through these academic programs, I encountered international students with whom I formed deep friendships and engaged in thought-provoking discussions.

Overall, my Erasmus Program experience at Corvinus University was fantastic. Budapest is a beautiful city, brimming with cultural treasures and exciting events. In addition to exploring the city, Corvinus University provided me with various opportunities for academic and cultural engagement. The Erasmus Program allowed me to forge new friendships, discover different parts of the world, and enrich my experiences.
